Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London, SE1 8XX
Welcome to the Sustainable Clothing Roadmap's Annual Conference Website.
You can view presentations from this conference here.
This year's conference was aimed at organisations with an active interest in sustainable clothing and will bring together international experts from across the industry and public sector. The conference also provided an important opportunity for stakeholders to participate and inform next steps in the development of the Roadmap process. From 1st April 2011, Defra's delivery body WRAP will take on the coordination role of the Roadmap.
The Sustainable Clothing Roadmap is a voluntary clothing industry initiative launched by the UK Dept of the Environment (Defra) to improve the environmental and ethical performance of clothing. Established in 2007, the aim is to work with industry stakeholders to fast track best practice through:
- Establishing sound evidence on key impacts and where action will be most effective
- Agreeing actions in priority areas (individual organisations and industry wide)
- Providing a platform to disseminate industry best practice to catalyse change throughout the sector
The Sustainable Clothing Roadmap Annual Conference was supported by Cotton Made In Africa
