BBC WWII People’s War
This two year project run by the BBC set out to capture real life stories from the generation who had lived through the war. They were looking for everyday stories from veterans who had fought in the war and from the home front.
Keystone was involved at different stages. We created a traveling exhibition which promoted and supported the story gathering in 25 different venues from war museums to Coventry Cathedral and culminating in the MOD’s spectacular VE 60th Anniversary celebrations in St James Park. Keystone were responsible for sourcing the venues, booking the space, installing the exhibition, including 3 online computers and then dismantling and moving on to the next venue.
At the end of the campaign, we ran a debrief conference for all the different partners who had been involved. The aim was both to thank these partners, but also to capture some learning from this project for future BBC Factual and Learning campaigns.
